Ludlow Choral Society's concerts are held in St Laurence's Church, Ludlow, a magical venue given five stars in Simon Jenkins's England's 1000 Best Churches. We perform in three main concerts each year, in March/April, June and November. We invite other choirs and performers to join us for the Ludlow Family Christmas Concert and also hold a 1-day workshop in May which is open to non-members.
The choir performs a wide range of music, from the traditional choral repertoire to less familiar earlier and more-modern works. Our Music Director, Nicola Starkie, is well-known as a choral conductor and accompanist.
Founded in 1858, the Society currently has around 130 members. We are always keen to welcome new people and we do not hold auditions for entry. Rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings.
