Ludlow Arts: Classical

Clun Valley Chamber Music
Clun Castle

Patron: The Duke of Norfolk
Artistic Directors: Richard Tunnicliffe & Luba Tunnicliffe

Founded by viola player Luba Tunnicliffe and cellist Richard Tunnicliffe and centring on St. George's Church, Clun, with its fine acoustics, Clun Valley Music was established in order to bring high-quality performances of classical chamber music by artists of international standing to Clun and the surrounding villages.

Within this we also aim to offer a platform for outstanding young musicians at an early stage of their career and offer these artists a proper fee for what they do, but still make ticket prices as affordable as possible to the general public.

We're interested in establishing connections between genres of music, and also between other creative arts forms; we have collaborated with folk musicians, and local visual artists.

Working with local schools is very important to us, and we aim to involve pupils by means of workshops, performance opportunities and masterclasses.
