Vanessa Wagner: piano

Philip Glass: The Complete Piano Études

An iconic artist of French music winner of a Victoire de la Musique award in 1999, Vanessa Wagner shows equal inspiration in her interpretation of the great repertoire and in the new musical paths she explores. With her innovative and daring approach, Vanessa Wagner has established herself as a major influence on the classical music scene. She is now recognized as a leading interpreter of minimalist music.

Described by Le Monde as 'the most singular pianist of her generation,' Vanessa Wagner's career reflects her demanding, original, and committed nature. Her richly timbred and colorful playing allows her to explore multiple aesthetics. Through her many experiences and collaborations, she has carved out a very personal path, ranging from classical recitals to contemporary creation, enriching it with the minimalist repertoire and projects with choreographers, visual artists, and musicians from different backgrounds. Deeply invested in the music of her time, she has been the dedicatee of several pieces by Pascal Dusapin, François Meimoun, Amy Crankshaw, Alex Nante, and others. This unique musical identity has earned her an essential place in the French musical landscape and is reflected in her extensive discography, which has been repeatedly praised by the press.
