Four fabulous works make up this great programme from the Ludlow Orchestra. Following recent performances at St. Laurence's with both the Ludlow Orchestra and the Brodsky Quartet, violinist Gina McCormack makes a welcome return to perform Prokofiev's lush, romantic and devilishly difficult first violin concerto. Three Shakespearean works make up the rest of the programme: Dvořák's inspired and dramatic concert overture Othello, Walton's effervescent music from Laurence Olivier's film of Henry V, and Tchaikovsky's blisteringly passionate Romeo and Juliet.
