The Amalthea Ensemble was formed in Birmingham in 2022 by flautist Meg Diamond and cellist Alice Cheer with the aim of bringing chamber music in many forms to a variety of audiences. Their name comes from Greek Mythology and their logo, the cornucopia, reflects the plentiful offerings the Amalthea Ensemble brings to its audiences.
