Ashley Wagner is the Assistant Head of Music of Birmingham Cathedral, where he is the principal accompanist to the cathedral choirs for services, concerts, tours, recordings and broadcasts. He also organises the recital series, runs the music outreach programme and assists with the chorister training and general running of the music department. He is also the School Organist to The Blue Coat School, Edgbaston, accompanist to the Royal Sutton Coldfield Choral Society and teaches organ in two schools and privately.

Ashley graduated with a first-class honours degree from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, specialising in organ performance, and assumed his current position at Birmingham Cathedral during his final year of study. He has studied the organ with Terence Atkins, Robin Walker, Henry Fairs, Daniel Moult and continues his studies with Thomas Trotter. He has held positions at Worcester Cathedral, St. Sepulchre-without-Newgate (‘the musicians' church’) and St John the Baptist, Chipping Barnet Parish Church.

As a soloist, Ashley has performed at venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, Amsterdam Orgelpark and St Paul's Cathedral. He has broadcast on radio and television and has competed and won awards in several international organ competitions.
