Internationally renowned British organist Thomas Trotter joins forces with Ludlow's Academy of St Laurence to celebrate all things musically royal in a concert to mark Her Majesty the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
Thomas Trotter was appointed Birmingham City Organist in 1983 and has been Artistic Adviser and Resident Organist at Birmingham's Symphony Hall since 2001. In 2002 he won the Royal Philharmonic Society Instrumental Award in recognition of his outstanding contribution to classical music and in November 2020 he was awarded The Queen's Medal for Music for his achievements in organ playing.
The Academy of St Laurence is a recently formed ensemble of 10 professional players based around Ludlow and its magnificent Church. It plans to give regular concerts throughout the year, mainly Baroque and Modern, familiar, and less well known.
