Cellist Alison Holford's playing is so sweet that I am called again and again to listen with great attention.

Alison Holford pursues a busy freelance career including principal cello of St Paul's Sinfonia; solo cello in Splinter Cell, a contemporary music group; cellist in Bridgetower Ensemble and in France, principal cello of Opera de Baugé. She has also performed with the Manchester Camerata and Lancashire Sinfonietta.

Recently she has been the solo cello in OperaUpClose's production of Tosca in the West End and on tour and was also the solo cello in La Traviata;  Dido and Aeneas and Carmen.  With King's Head Opera she was the solo cello in new productions of La Bohème and Madame Butterfly.

Elspeth Wilkes has performed at venues including St John's Smith Square; Royal Opera House; St Martin-in-the-Fields and Hackney Empire as well as giving recitals in Europe and South Africa. Appearing at festivals including Ravenna and the Edinburgh Fringe, she won the prestigious ‘Oscar’ award for outstanding performance at the Dublin Gay Theatre Festival.

Elspeth has worked with BBC Wales, Royal Ballet, Royal Shakespeare Company and Southbank Sinfonia and as a repetiteur/musical director with many opera companies including OperaupClose, Northern Ireland Opera and Opera de Bauge. She is accompanist/assistant conductor with Barnes Choir and Thurrock Choral Society and a member of the Bridgetower Ensemble.
