The first of three recitals marking the exciting new collaboration between St Laurence and the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.

The members of the Fletcher Quartet met during their studies at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. Since its establishment in 2017, the Quartet has quickly gained recognition as an emerging young professional quartet both locally and nationally.

Impressing many world-renowned musicians the Quartet is mentored closely by members of the Kuss Quartet and the Lindsay String Quartet with on-going guidance from the Castalian Quartet, Heath Quartet and Jian Wang. They have been awarded the Sylvia Cleaver Chamber Music Prize (with pianist Domonkos Csabay)

The Fletcher Quartet has performed extensively in the West Midlands, recent highlights have included their TV appearance on BBC Breakfast. This season will see them performing widely in the UK and South Africa.
